Ultraluster Review and Giveaway!

I have to admit that I'm not a "car person". As long as my car gets me from point A to point B I'm a happy camper. And admittedly I don't care for my car as much as I know I should. However with my new car (see older post) I am going to make a more conscious effort to get my car cleaned, inside and out, more regularly.

Recently I had a fantastic opportunity to try a product called Ultraluster. It's perfect for someone like me who lives in a condo complex and who has no access to a water source for a hose to use to clean my car with. Usually I just go to the drive thru car wash.

Ultraluster is a "waterless" car wash and polish system. All you need to do is spray, wipe then buff and you are done. No kidding! I was sceptical myself until I had a chance to try it for myself.

The bottle of Ultraluster I received is the thin bottle (pictured above). You actually pump the bottle before you spray it. You need to spay in small sections (like 3' x 3'). Then you wipe it off with a clean cloth. Next you wait for the area you "washed" to get cloudy and when it does you buff it with another clean cloth or shammie.

Now, you have to understand that the car I test it on was the one that I am currently donating because it died out on me. It was covered in A LOT of dirt, grim and scratches. And that is an understatement. The day I tested it out on my Buick it was VERY cold. I mean BITTER! I'm sure that effected the Ultraluster because it didn't cloud up as much as it should have. But none the less I was able to get it to wash my car! I didn't do my entire car (no way, it was way too cold outside!). So I did an area on the trunk of my car.

Photobucket

I am not sure if you can tell in this picture but the top right area is the untreated side. You can clearly see all the scratches. The bottom left side is the Ultraluster side (treated side). You can see (hopefully) that the scratches are not as noticeable as the untreated side (the white patches towards the top are clouds reflecting off the car).

If you look closely you can clearly see the scratches on the untreated side. I really helped to make the scratches less noticeable. Not to mention it make the car feel so nice and smooth. Prior to using Ultraluster my car had a "grainy" feeling to it, very bumpy and abrasive. I loved how my car felt after I used Utlraluster!

Renee at Ultraluster sent me two packages of Ultraluster. I'm going to offer a package to a She Scribes reader. The package comes with a bottle of Ultraluster, a white cloth and a yellow shammie. This would make a great gift or stocking stuffer for the car lover in your family. Or you can keep it for yourself. I'm keeping the bottle I have in my car. My new car has already been cleaned and polished (compliments of the car dealership) but I plan on using it for "touch ups" (aks bird droppings!) and of course when my car needs cleaning again.

To enter please visit Ultraluster by clicking here. Look around at all the other great products they offer (not just for cars either). Then come back here and let me know what other product you like and if you plan on keeping this for yourself or giving it as a gift.

For extra enteries (please leave a seperate comment for each one).

I would like to try the Tire & Trim Lustre. It says it removes brake dust (problem I have going on right now) and restores tires to shiny. I love the blackest black shiny tires after I wash my car.

The Bug Buster will get those squashed, icky bugs,
That stick onto your car as strong as tar...
A magic pad just wipes them away,
(and all their little parts!) Hurray!

Would love Bug Busters for my dear husband, drives many miles and the bugs just wait for him!

This is such a great giveaway. I would love to win something like this especially since I hate wasting water to wash my car. The other product I would be interested in is Bug Buster since it removes stubborn dirt and I have had a problem with stubborn dirt on my car.

Just today, I was off, but sooo busy, that I never made it to the car wash before they closed. And my car is filthy! It is so bad that it drives me nuts every day when I drive to work. I work an odd shift so on a work day I can never make it to the car wash. Something like this would be perfect for when this happens.

Anyways, the Clabar Luster sounds like a great product too. (The Ultraluster is my fav.) I have rust spots on my clear coat from my atennae.
